Manes and & Danes Animal Rescue was founded in the
summer of 2013 at the Coldbrook Equestrian Center. In addition to our main
focus of horses and Great Danes, we also rescue chickens and goats. What makes
our rescue unique is that the members of our 4H program are retraining our
rescue horses.

While we work hard to retrain emotionally and physically
damaged animals, we are also teaching our youth responsibility, team work,
empathy, and hard work. Retraining horses at Manes & Danes gives teens an
outlet to keep them on the right path. Just as we have animals from a variety
of backgrounds, the children and teenagers each have their own stories as well.
We work with children abandoned by their families, children of deployed service
men and women, children of divorce, adopted children, foster children,
handicapped children, children who need alternatives to drugs, and children
who are already on the right path.
